API 6A Valves

Browse our high-performance industrial valves engineered for excellence.

API 6A Valve manufacturer in USA

SVR Global manufactures API 6A gate, ball, plug, and check valves engineered for wellhead assemblies, Christmas trees, chokes, and manifold systems used in onshore and offshore oil and gas production across the United States.

Every valve is designed, tested, and documented against API Specification 6A, Wellhead and Tree Equipment, covering pressure ratings from 2,000 psi through 20,000 psi and Product Specification Levels PSL 1 through PSL 4.

What is an API 6A Valve?

API 6A Valve refers to the valve that is designed, fabricated, and tested to API Spec 6A, which is the standard for wellhead and trees used in the oil and natural gas industries. The standard specifies classes of working pressures, temperature, material, product specification level, among others. This standard defines the design and qualification process of the valve and how it should be marked, allowing for the matching of the equipment with the well and fluid properties.

Core Classification Elements:

  • Pressure Rating (PR) - 2,000, 3,000, 5,000, 10,000, 15,000, and 20,000 psi working pressure classes

  • Temperature Class - designated K, L, N, P, R, S, T, U, and V, defining the operating temperature range of the equipment

  • Material Class - designated AA through HH, addressing body/trim metallurgy for general service and sour (H2S) service per NACE MR0175/ISO 15156

  • Product Specification Level (PSL) - PSL 1 through PSL 4, defining the scope of design validation, quality control, and testing applied to the equipment

  • Performance Requirement (PR1/PR2) - defines the design validation and qualification testing route for the product

Product Range:

Slab Gate Valve-

  • Through conduit slab gate valves for wellhead and manifold isolation service

  • Metal to metal or resilient seat sealing with double block and bleed function

  • Bidirectional sealing, fire safe design per API 6FA

  • Handwheel, gear operator, hydraulic, or pneumatic actuation

Expanding Gate Valve-

  • Expanding gate design for full bore, low torque operation on Christmas tree and manifold assemblies

  • Metal seat construction suited for high pressure, high temperature wellhead service

Ball Valve-

  • Floating and trunnion mounted ball valves for wellhead, flowline, and choke manifold isolation

  • Fire safe design, anti static stem, and double block and bleed configuration

  • Full bore and reduced bore trim options

Plug Valve-

  • Lubricated and non-lubricated plug valves for choke manifold and flowline diversion service

  • Suited for abrasive and multiphase production streams

Check Valve-

  • Wellhead and flowline check valves for backflow prevention on injection and production lines

  • Piston type and swing type configurations rated to API 6A pressure classes
