Globe Valve
Globe valves for controlled throttling and shutoff with reliable seating across demanding industrial process lines.
Some piping systems need more than basic isolation. Flow may need to be adjusted during operation and then shut off completely when required, which is where globe valves are particularly useful. SVR Global supports these requirements as a Globe Valve Manufacturer in USA, with a range developed for dependable control and shutoff in industrial piping systems. A globe valve is a linear-motion valve that controls flow by moving a disc toward or away from a fixed seat. As the disc moves closer to the seat, the available flow area becomes smaller. Moving it away increases the opening and allows more fluid to pass through the valve. Unlike a gate valve, the fluid does not move through a completely straight passage. The internal flow path changes direction as it passes through the body. This creates a higher pressure drop, but it also gives the valve better control when the flow needs to be adjusted gradually. Globe valves are commonly used for throttling, flow regulation and isolation where repeatable operation and controlled flow are more important than achieving the lowest possible pressure loss. • Suitable for both flow regulation and isolation • Controlled disc movement for accurate throttling • Reliable disc-to-seat contact for shutoff • Short stem travel for frequent operation • Manual, electric and pneumatic operating options • Flanged, welded and threaded connection options The body, trim and sealing materials can be selected to suit the service conditions and required shutoff performance.
