Pneumatic knife gate valve manufacturer in USA
SVR Global manufactures pneumatic knife gate valves engineered for isolating and controlling the flow of slurries, abrasive media, powders, and fibrous suspensions in demanding industrial pipelines.
Built with heavy duty actuation and wear resistant construction, these valves are designed for fast, tight shut off in lines carrying difficult, high solids content media where standard valve types wear out quickly.
Working Principle Pneumatic knife gate:
Compressed air is supplied to the pneumatic actuator through a solenoid valve or positioner.
The actuator drives the gate down through the flow path, perpendicular to the pipeline axis.
The knife edge of the gate shears through solids, slurry, or fibrous material suspended in the line.
Resilient seats (elastomer or metal seated, depending on the media) close against the gate to achieve shut off.
A reverse air signal retracts the gate, fully opening the bore for unrestricted flow.

Key Features of SVR Global Pneumatic Knife Gate Valves:
Heavy duty pneumatic actuation for rapid open/close cycling in automated process lines
Hardened, sharp edged gate that cuts through settled solids and fibrous buildup instead of jamming
Bi directional shut off for isolation duty regardless of flow direction
Replaceable seat and packing arrangement to extend service life in abrasive-duty pipelines
Corrosion and abrasion resistant body options, including cast iron, ductile iron, carbon steel, and stainless steel
Bare shaft, double acting, and spring return actuator configurations to match fail safe and control requirements
Limit switch box and positioner compatibility for remote status feedback and integration with plant automation systems
Uni directional and bi directional seat designs available for varying differential pressure conditions

Standards and Compliance:
SVR Global designs pneumatic knife gate valves to recognized industry standards, giving procurement and engineering teams a documented basis for specification and approval:
API 609 - Butterfly and knife gate valve design and testing reference
ANSI/ASME B16.5 & B16.34 - Flange dimensions and pressure-temperature ratings
ISO 5211 - Actuator mounting pad dimensions for pneumatic actuator interchangeability
ISO 9001 - Quality management system certification for manufacturing processes
CE Marking - Conformity with applicable EU directives for valves shipped internationally
NACE MR0175 (on request) - Material selection for sour service and corrosive environments
Quality Assurance and Testing:
Every pneumatic knife gate valve is tested before dispatch to confirm it performs to the specification ordered:
Hydrostatic Shell Testing - Body integrity testing at rated pressure to confirm no leakage through the casting
Seat Leakage Testing - Verification of shut off performance against the specified leakage class
Actuator Cycle Testing - Functional testing of open/close cycling and fail-safe response under supply air
Dimensional Inspection - Verification of face to face dimensions, flange drilling, and bore diameter against drawings
Material Traceability - Mill Test Certificates (MTC) issued for body, gate, and seat materials on request
Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) - Documentation package available for project based and third party inspection requirements
