Function & Working
An AWWA swing check valve uses a hinged disc that swings freely on a hinge or shaft. When fluid flows in the forward direction, the disc opens to allow full flow with minimal resistance. If reverse flow occurs, the disc swings back against the seat to close the passage and prevent backflow. SVR Global designs swing check valves with options such as lever and weight or lever and spring to control disc movement and reduce water hammer.
