Mud Gate Valve
Browse our high-performance industrial valves engineered for excellence.

SVR Global manufactures mud gate valves that are specifically designed to manage solids, abrasives, and pressure in drilling, mining, dredging, and mineral processing applications in the entire United States. The valves are manufactured using a full port bore, bidirectional seal, and bolted bonnet construction to avoid clogging and wear at the valve seats. The mud gate valve is a type of robust, wedge gate valve or knife gate valve that is used for isolation and controlling the flow of drilling fluids, slurries, abrasives, and other solid material filled slurries in high solids concentration pipelines. While normal gate valves have no such features, the mud gate valve has a highly durable gate mechanism which is not easily worn out due to suspended solids. Full bore, unobstructed flow path to prevent solids build-up Flat, wedge shaped or parallel gate for positive shut-off against abrasive media Bolted bonnet construction for field maintenance and gate replacement Rising stem and non-rising stem configurations available Metal seated and resilient seated options for varying service conditions Flanged, buttweld, or hub end connections per pipeline specification Rated for mud pump discharge lines, standpipe manifolds, and choke lines SVR Global fabricates mud gate valves in a range of alloys selected for abrasion resistance, sour-service compatibility, and pressure containment: Cast steel (WCB, WCC) for standard drilling and slurry service Cast stainless steel (CF8M, CF3M) for corrosive fluid handling Duplex and super duplex stainless steel for high chloride environments Alloy 20, Hastelloy, and Monel for aggressive chemical media Hardfaced gate and seat surfaces (Stellite overlay) for extended wear life NACE MR0175 / MR0103 compliant trims for sour gas and H2S service ANSI/ASME Class 150 through Class 2500 API 6A working pressure ratings for wellhead and choke manifold service Flanged ends per ASME B16.5 / B16.47 Buttweld ends per ASME B16.25 Hub connections per API 6A for wellhead stack integration Face to face dimensions per API 6D and ASME B16.10 API 6A for wellhead and drilling equipment API 600 / API 603 for cast gate valve design ASME B16.34 pressure temperature ratings NACE MR0175 sour service compliance ISO 9001 manufacturing quality management Industries Applications Oil & Gas Drilling Mud circulation systems and standpipe manifolds Choke and kill manifold flow control on wellhead stacks Shale shaker and cuttings discharge lines Mining & Mineral Processing High density ore slurry transport and flotation circuits Tailings transport and mine dewatering lines Dredging & Marine Sediment and sand slurry discharge on dredgers Ballast and drilling fluid handling on offshore rigs Power Generation Bottom ash, fly ash, and coal slurry sluice lines Water & Wastewater (Industrial) Sludge transfer and de-watering lines in treatment plants Chemical & Metallurgical Processing Corrosive/abrasive fluid isolation and slag slurry discharge Pulp & Paper Stock and reject slurry transfer lines Drilling mud circulation systems and standpipe manifolds Mud pump suction and discharge isolation Choke and kill manifold flow control on wellhead stacks Cuttings and shale shaker discharge lines Mineral processing plants handling high density slurry Tailings transport and disposal pipelines Dredging discharge lines for sediment and sand slurry Cement slurry handling in well cementing operations Bentonite and drilling fluid mixing plants Mine dewatering and abrasive fluid transfer lines Ash handling and bottom ash sluice lines in power generation Wastewater treatment sludge transfer (industrial, non-potable streams) In-house casting, machining, and hardfacing under one manufacturing facility Custom face to face, port size, and trim configurations engineered to pipeline specification Batch traceability with material test certificates (MTC per EN 10204 3.1/3.2) Hydrostatic and seat leakage testing per API 598 prior to dispatch Documentation package including GA drawings, weld maps, and NDT reports Export packaging and support for USA based drilling contractors, EPC firms, and mineral processing plants Nominal bore sizes from 2 inches (DN50) to 24 inches (DN600) Standard and reduced port configurations Manual gear operated, hydraulic actuated, and pneumatic actuated variants Rising stem indicator for visual position confirmation in field operationMud Gate Valve manufacturer in USA
