Connection Lift Plug Valve manufacturer in USA
SVR Global engineers and manufactures Connection Lift Plug Valves engineered for tight shutoff, multi port isolation, and bypass connection duties across process piping networks in the USA. Each valve is built to combine a lifting plug mechanism with a tapered or cylindrical seating arrangement, giving operators a friction reduced, bubble tight isolation device for connection, sampling, venting, and drain points on process lines.
What is a Connection Lift Plug Valve?
A Connection Lift Plug Valve is a quarter turn isolation valve in which the plug is mechanically raised off its seat before rotation and then re-seated by a downward or spring assisted motion once the port aligns with the flow path. This lift and turn action separates the sealing surfaces during travel, which lowers seat wear, torque demand, and scoring on the plug and body seat compared to a valve that rotates while remaining in constant seat contact.
Working Principle:
The plug is lifted axially off the seat using a cam, lever, or threaded stem mechanism integrated into the valve bonnet.
With the plug disengaged from the seat, the operator rotates the stem through 90 degrees to align or block the port.
The plug is lowered back onto the seat, restoring metal to metal or elastomer assisted contact for shutoff.
The lift turn lower sequence can be manual (lever or gearbox) or automated through a pneumatic or electric actuator fitted with a cam track or grooved sleeve.
Design & Construction Features:
Tapered or cylindrical plug with a lifting sleeve or cam groove for seat disengagement
One-piece or two piece body construction depending on line size and pressure class
Two way, three way, and four way port configurations for diversion, bypass, and sampling duties
Metal seated or soft seated (PTFE, elastomer sleeve) sealing arrangements
Adjustable packing gland for stem sealing and torque adjustment
Anti-blowout stem design to retain the stem under internal line pressure
Grease fitting or sealant injection port on lubricated variants for seat lubrication and emergency sealing
Non lubricated variants using a wrapped PTFE or elastomer sleeve for bubble-tight shutoff without periodic lubrication
