Y Strainer Manufacturer in USA
SVR Global manufactures Y strainers to remove sediment, scale, rust, and other particulate contaminants from pipeline systems, protecting downstream equipment from damage and wear. Engineered for consistent filtration performance, these strainers deliver reliable results across liquid, steam, and gas applications alike.
Working Mechanism of a Y Strainer:
The liquid flows into the strainer and moves towards the angled branch chamber.
The branch contains a perforated or a mesh screen that acts as an obstruction to the flow.
Dirt, scale, rust, and other solid impurities get collected on the screen’s surface.
The filtered liquid then flows through the screen and goes out of the strainer.
The body of the strainer has an angled Y-shaped structure that makes the debris fall due to gravitational pull.
The debris falls in the pocket that is present at the bottom of the screen chamber.
There is a removable cap or plug present over the pocket.
The screen is easily removable for cleaning purposes without removing the strainer from the pipeline.

Applications of Y-strainers:
Y strainers are supplied for use across a range of piping systems, including:
Oil & Gas processing lines - Screens sand, scale and debris from the pipelines in order to keep valves, pumps and metering instruments safe.
Chemical & Petrochemical facilities - Protects process equipment from particulate contamination in corrosive and high pressure fluid streams.
Power generation & steam systems - Filters condensate, scale and weld slag from steam and feed water pipes to keep turbines, boilers and control valves protected.
Water treatment & desalination facilities - Screens for sediment and suspended solids in order to prevent damage to pumps, membranes and instruments in intake and process lines.
Marine & offshore pipelines - Durable design allows for use in extreme salt water environments while protecting the pipe line from particulate contamination.
