How a 2 Piece Ball Valve Works?
A 2 piece ball valve works by rotating a spherical ball with a through bore, mounted between two seats inside a two piece body.
Open: the ball's bore aligns with the pipe, letting flow pass straight through.
Closed: a 90° turn of the stem rotates the ball so its solid face blocks the seat, stopping flow.
Sealing: the seats stay pressed against the ball's surface on both sides, holding pressure in either direction and wiping the ball clean as it turns.
Just a quarter turn takes it from fully open to fully closed, with low torque needed to operate.
