Eccentric plug valve manufacturer in USA
SVR Global eccentric plug valves are designed to provide a tight shut-off capability, long-term durability, and reliable operation under varying pressures and temperatures. Each valve is tailored to meet all line specifications, including port size, pressure rating, and material and mechanism of actuation.
How an Eccentric Plug Valve Works?
Closed Position: Plug rotates into seat position to provide full seal without interruption with tight seal formation against flow path.
Opening Process: With rotation of the stem, the eccentric shape of the plug allows it to lift up from the seat with no rubbing contact between the plug and seat faces.
Open Position: In open position, the plug is rotated away from the flow path to give unimpeded bore with reduced pressure drop.
Sealing Feature: Minimal rubbing of the plug against the seat reduces wear and minimizes chances of sticking and galling.
This lift and rotate action is what separates eccentric plug valves from ball valves and standard plug valves, it reduces friction related wear while still delivering tight, bubble tight shutoff.
