Hastelloy C276/B3 Valve Manufacturer in USA
SVR Global manufactures Hastelloy C276 and Hastelloy B3 valves in the USA for industries handling aggressive acids, chlorides, and high temperature corrosive media. We provide valves with gate, globe, ball, check, and butterfly designs in all sizes and pressure ratings.
Functions of Hastelloy C276/B3 Valves:
Flow Isolation - shuts off flow completely for maintenance or safety
Flow Regulation - throttles flow rate and pressure in process lines
Backflow Prevention - stops reverse flow to protect upstream equipment
Pressure Control - regulates and relieves system pressure
Corrosion Containment - resists chemical attack from acids and chlorides
Leak-Tight Sealing - maintains tight shutoff under pressure and temperature changes
Temperature Resistance - performs across a wide operating temperature range
Metering and Sampling - enables precise low flow dosing and sampling
Hastelloy C276 vs Hastelloy B3:
Property | Hastelloy C276 | Hastelloy B3 |
Base Composition | Ni-Mo-Cr | Ni-Mo |
Best Suited For | Oxidizing + reducing acids, chlorides | Reducing acids (HCl, H2SO4) |
Chromium Content | Higher | Minimal |
Thermal Stability | Good | Improved over B2 |
Typical Use | Chlorine, mixed acids, seawater | Hydrochloric acid processing |
Manufacturing Process:
1. Casting and Forging-
Valve bodies and components are produced from Hastelloy C276 and B3 castings or forgings, with chemistry verified against ASTM specifications before machining begins.
2. Machining-
CNC machining ensures the accurate formation of the body, seat, and trim within tolerances, ensuring dimensional consistency on flange faces, bore holes, and sealing surfaces.
3. Welding and Fabrication-
If any fabricated assembly is needed, welding is done according to appropriate methods that do not allow for carbide precipitation in nickel alloy materials.
4. Surface Finishing-
Valve interiors and sealing surfaces are finished to the required roughness for proper seating and long term sealing performance.
5. Assembly and Testing-
Finished valves are assembled, torqued to specification, and moved into hydrostatic and pneumatic testing before final inspection.
