What is a Swing Check Valve?

A swing check valve uses a hinged disc that swings open under forward flow and swings shut when flow reverses or stops. The design has no external controls closure depends on gravity and reverse pressure acting on the disc.

How a Swing Check Valve Works ?

• Forward flow pushes the disc off its seat, swinging it open around the hinge pin

• The open disc allows fluid to pass through with minimal obstruction to the flow path

• As flow slows down, the disc begins swinging back toward the seat under gravity

• When flow reverses, back pressure forces the disc fully shut against the seat

• The closed disc forms a seal that blocks fluid from moving backward through the line

• No external power, actuator, or manual operation is needed for the valve to open or close

Manufacturing Standards :

Valves are built to API 6D, API 608, and BS5351 design references, with face-to-face dimensions held to ANSI B16.10 / API 6D and flanged connections to ANSI B16.5.

Testing and Inspection:

Each valve is inspected against its stated pressure class before shipment, with a warranty covering workmanship and material defects on delivered units.
