Bronze gate valves are linear motion, bidirectional shut off valves engineered for isolating fluid flow in water, steam, oil, gas, and process piping systems. SVR Global manufactures bronze gate valves in accordance with ASTM B62, ASTM B584, MSS SP-80, and ASME B16.15 standards, supplying distributors, contractors, and industrial buyers across the USA with screwed end, flanged, rising stem, and non-rising stem configurations in sizes ranging from 1/4" to 4". The bronze gate valve makes use of a disc that is designed to be wedge-shaped and operates in a direction perpendicular to the flow to control the flow of the fluid in the pipe line. It is designed for full opening or closing of the flow; cannot be used for throttling. The flow path is straight through and the pressure drop will be low when fully opened. Body, bonnet, and wedge are made from bronze alloy C83600 and C84400 by casting or forging. SVR Global manufactures bronze gate valves using controlled composition alloys tested for chemical and mechanical conformance: ASTM B62 - sand cast bronze alloy (C83600) for valve bodies and bonnets ASTM B584 - copper alloy sand castings for pressure containing components Lead free or low lead bronze alloy (C89833, C87850) – conforms to NSF/ANSI 372 & Safe Drinking Water Act ASME B16.15 - dimensional standard for cast bronze thread fittings, classes 125 & 150 MSS SP-80 - standard specification for bronze gate, globe, angle and check valves Each casting batch is verified for tensile strength, hardness, and porosity before machining, ensuring consistent wall thickness and threading tolerance across production runs.
